haha! so im hoping to get to see him when im over in america, coming over on saturday for 3 months...so in that time if i dont get to see him,,, im coming back over to the U.S to see him at a christmas show...either way it has to be this year Laughing Laughing I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER LOL Laughing

I'm trying to figure out if I'll be able to afford to travel somewhere to see a Christmas concert! Airfare is not cheap these days plus there's the issue of time off from work if it's not on a weekend! Do I lie and call in sick for a few days so I can see and hear David live????? Somehow that doesn't seem quite right, does it?

Hannah, I agree with you about David's voice - he can convey His message like no other!

Just pick a concert in the next 3 months and I'm sure you'll get to see David somewhere! Maybe even 2 or 3 times! That would be great! Where will you be in the states? :?:[/quote]

tut tut meant to put this in my last post...

yes joshs voice is lovely and deep and carries lots of emotion,
BUT
there is something special about davids voice and i cant put my finger on it...the tone? the quality? or both...but there is something there that NO OTHER singer i have ever heard has, david is a one off in every way laugh.gif just thinking about that voice just gives me shivers..no ones voice is like david and no ones ever will be again...i think i wrote on a video on youtube once...something like...once in a lifetime a special singer comes along and david is in mine

Hannah, if I could've put your last 3 posts on here as quote I would, as EVERYTHING you said is ditto to my pheelings exactly!! I too had never heard of Josh before, so I openly watched the 2 versions that you gave. I admit Josh to having a nice voice, but it didn't grab me like the phirst time I heard David, and I believe as everyone has already stated, he uses it for God as well, which makes all the difference in the world to me.
I know some are getting upset I believe that we're comparing, but I can't help it. I have only recently even heard of David, so it's fresh how my reaction was to his music, and voice when I heard it, which is why I've even become a board member. I don't usually do things like that, but after I heard him, I had to learn all about this artist with the special voice, and I must say, all I've come to learn has only added fuel to the fire, so to speak in my appreciation of him, and his ministry!!
Sorry I was so long winded, but Hannah, you've known him 7 yrs. I believe you said, and still haven't heard him...I've not even known him a year, and got my first taste this past May, and I have to tell you I was not disappointed...he's even better live!! Amazing voice, and I believe it'll be a long time before another David ever comes around....I pray you'll be able to see him soon!!!

it would be good if josh sang christian music too, but even if he did i still think no-one can come close to david
haha thanks for the prayer...im praying too that i get to hear david this year biggrin.gif , he hasnt done any solo dates over in britain ( that i know of ohmy.gif ) haha! so im hoping to get to see him when im over in america, coming over on saturday for 3 months...so in that time if i dont get to see him,,, im coming back over to the U.S to see him at a christmas show...either way it has to be this year laugh.gif laugh.gif I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER LOL laugh.gif

Talking about the emotion that David puts into his singing,,someone said (sorry, I don't remember who  ) that you believed it was the Holy Spirit..I too believe that he is inspired by the Holy Spirit,,like Mom and I say when he is singing,,expecially that version of "O, Holy Night" he is "in the zone" it's as if nothing else matters but his praise at that time and THAT is what draws us to him.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif of course, this also is just my humble opinion.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
