I probably look cute to the little puppy before he has me for lunch!!

I don't know how he feels about a man of the cloth!! So far he only dislikes mailmen which is why we no longer receive mail delivery at our house - it was just one time and from my vantage point didn't look serious (the dog, after all was on a leash), but we weren't in a position to dispute the issue! Anyway, I'm at the home computer now so here's another cute, cute picture.

I'm trying to figure out if I'll be able to afford to travel somewhere to see a Christmas concert! Airfare is not cheap these days plus there's the issue of time off from work if it's not on a weekend! Do I lie and call in sick for a few days so I can see and hear David live????? Somehow that doesn't seem quite right, does it?

Sure, just call in and say you're "sick." Sick and tired of coming to work everyday! LOL How accurate would that be? wink.gif

I know people who call in sick once a year and then privately tell us they are taking a "mental health" day! So there you go! You are sick of work and you need David to revive your spirits! It's a mental health day and perfectly ok I would think biggrin.gif

Just take a "personal" day. A renewing & refreshing of your spirit. Nothing wrong with that. What's wrong with taking a "spiritual health" day? Sounds good in my opinion!! biggrin.gif

It might help to keep in mind that there are lots of people who haven't yet heard of David (hard to believe but true). As the OP I would like to say that the intent of this thread was to find out the difference in their vocal range - it's been determined that David has a slight edge over Josh in that regard.

And we all can agree that both are fantastic singers and performers, regardless of which one we prefer or for what reason.

So if you want to talk about someone really cute, see below!!! I have other absolutely adorable pictures but they're on my computer at home!

Gotcha  ....time to call a truce biggrin.gif

Janette,
The first Josh G song I really took notice to was Vincent (Starry, Starry Night). Love that one. What was his first "hit"?
pj

"Vincent" is an amazing song, but Josh's first "hit" was "You're Still You". That song really put him on the map. The song "Remember When It Rained" from CLOSER really holds a special place in my heart. I loved that song within the first 10 seconds of hearing it! Another Josh Groban song that I can never stop listening to is "BELIEVE" from the film "The Polar Express" - it's a beautiful Christmas song .... David NEEDS to record that!!!

If you really want to hear a good example of Josh's range, listen to the BREATH-TAKING "FEBRUARY SONG" from the album "AWAKE". It's really a beautiful ballad. While it's not exactly a "three lunged song" like some of David's, Josh's range is NOTHING to sneeze at! I REALLY recommend that album, it's very, very good!

I really think that AWAKE is the best place for a new JG fan to start - it's more diverse than his previous albums. You have ballads, classical, pop, a very surprising song with Herbie Hancock called "MACHINE" & some wonderful songs with Ladysmith Black Mambazo!

James

PS - Josh's version of "JESU, JOY OF MAN'S DESIRING" is probably the BEST version (recorded or live) of this amazing song ..... ever!

I love that song too! I think Josh does a great job with it! You're Still You..Is the first song I heard that made me sit up and take notice...heard him sing it on Alli McBeal and started searching him out and that was 2001 or 2002. To date my favorite song is To Where You Are, which has very special meaning to me. Oh...I didn't answer your quesiton..my 14 year grandaughter is coming over in a little while and she can answer that question better than me... laugh.gif But I believe it is one of those two songs..Will verify and get back with you
