I just like David MUCH better. I love his voice. And I love the message behind the voice. biggrin.gif

Kellie...there was just a spot on some program where a big name (can't remember, maybe you heard it..someone like Barbra Streisand) anyway, the ticket price was so high that they country she (it was a she laugh.gif ) was going to cancelled the concert saying the price for tickets was "outrageous"..thought it was interesting..never heard of that happening before!!!

I was going to jump in and say that Josh isn't a tenor, but Janette beat me to it. I personally like David better, not a big Josh fan, and I'll have to agree with what some of the others said regarding his A.I. performance (or the part I heard)...not his best.

As far as who has the biggest range, I have no clue. I have a guess, but that's all it is.

And, regarding the prices of concert tickets, I am ashamed to say that I have paid WAY too much for them on many an occasion. I'm getting tighter in my old age, or something, because I am way more particular about who I spend my money on now. I know that it takes alot of money to put on a big show and make it entertaining but I find it hard to believe anyone can justify charging over $100 bucks for a ticket. Just my opinion. I guess as long as people pay the high prices they'll continue to keep the prices at the current level.

Sorry for the semi-rant.

I wasn't impressed by Josh's appearance on AI either - that's why I'm not willing to spend $95, $75 or even $55 on a ticket to see him!
I always get in trouble when this question comes up...as stated in the past...you can't compare the two...Josh is NOT a tenor!!!!!!! They are both great, and I used this quote because I would have payed more to see Josh live and it was worth every penny and I would do it again...I think dp way under charges for his concerts!! So again..apples and oranges..I Love them both for very DIFFERENT reasons..and I thought he was good on AI...I must have been watching a different show! laugh.gif laugh.gif Haven't changed my mind since the last "discussion" about these two!!

Whut everyone said about Josh on AI, I listened to him closely because David once said he listened to Josh. But I didn't hear any hints that he could catch up to David. As far as vocal range is concerned, David said Just As I Am alone covers 3 1/2 octaves!

I haven't seen Josh very many times, just two or three probably, but I was very UNimpressed with him on AI a few weeks ago. I've heard so much good about him that I expected a lot better.

David does i believe. he's stronger than Josh especially since the last performance i saw of Josh on American Idol he wasnt as strong as before and he sings more from the throat than from the pits of the belly like david! smile.gif David has always been strong when i've seen him or stronger than before :-D
