Tiffy, now I know you can do 10 things at once and I like to talk to you on the Im thing, but I can only do that, then I come to the boards and can only do that...

I am not one who would like a chat away from here because it goes too fast for me, for one, and I really love talking to you all on here. This is my comfort zone and the place where I look for support and fun and laughter.

It confuses me to try to do so many things at once, especially at night after a long day of work.....but I am not fast on the computer like a lot of you are...I am learning but I guess I am not as good as you all are...

I don't know because I have never been able to figure out a chat thing. I don't do change well!!!My fingers hurt now as it is...

AOL has Instant messerger for aol members...and AIM for non aol users....you can chat to several different people at one time...we used it when we were on aol ....but boy did it get confusing when you were talking to several different people ...used to answer one person thinking it was someone else...but this would have nothing to do with David's Board...never been involved in a "chat room"... chat.

Yeah, it is hard to keep track of who you're saying what to, espcially when you talk to two people with the same name at the same time like I do sometimes! LOL

I love Instant Messaging, although I haven't done it in awhile. It's free, and it allows you to talk to whoever you please, and it's alot faster than the boards. I'm not making a case against the boards by any means, don't get me wrong. Just saying IMing, which is similar to a chat room, is cool. We've used it alot to talk to my inlaws who live across the country. We used to have a webcam and could see them while we talked. That was cool.

Lo Suave, I can tell you are a pretty busy woman. I can't sing but I think we are soulmates when it comes to the writing aspect of it all. We have a bond in that for sure. I might hit you up for advice on planting when I get to that point if you don't mind.

It would be great!! Looks like we have two things in common...well three...you like to write...an interest in planting....AND DAVID!!!

Boy do we need a chat room! Wouldn't it be nice for nights like that?

Linda - I love the idea of a "chat" room, but the last time i asked, Admin didn't sound to encouraging. The way he explained it I understood, but it still would be nice! If you don't read every post on every thread, you can miss out on alot of fun and that has happened to me. In a chat room, you can talk about all kinds of things without taking away from what the original thread was about!

that's true but i think there would be a big decline in board activity. that wouldnt be good

yes Tiff...that's exactly what I'm feeling...guess there's pro's and con's to everything, huh? :?

i like it a lot. i get to chat with my friends that are out of town and with board members when they are on and family also

My daughter has got the hang of Windows Messenger and it looks like something I would enjoy. Something like ICQ i guess.

I will definitely look into it though cause I like to live in real time.

Hey..I used to do ICQ...when our son was in High School that is how he and all his friends chatted in the evenings...is that still around?
