I had open heart surgery 2 months ago yesterday. Somehow the Lord saw fit to get me through it. I am 63 years old, and had a complete mitral valve replacement. Very scary, for sure.
I could have used a warm hand one night in ICU, but got a nasty grump.
So, this is from me to you.
I am holding your hand, praying with you, and smoothing your hair back from your forehead.
Don't be afraid. Your faith is strong, and you will be fine.
You are never alone.
I know what you mean about not getting much in the way of support from friends and family, because it's been that way for me. My husband is an absolute Angel, perhaps my greatest blessing along with my Mom and son and daughter. All the rest of my support has been from e-mail friends.
Do not fear, you will feel so much better after this is over with.

Will be praying for you tomorrow....I'm sure you will start feeling better soon. Know what you mean about how we all feel about our Phamily here. I can't wait to start meeting more of you....Most everyone around here knows what I mean when I say "My Board Phamily"...Those I share Prayer requests with here have started asking if I have any from my "Board Phamily." It's neat. Love you all !!

Ditto for me Tiff and Lee! Everyone I talk to now is just used to me saying "the Board" that they know exactly what I mean! I even think I see some envy with some of them when I talk about how caring and loving everyone is here. There's no place like this place anywhere near this place so this must be THE PLACE :!: :!: :!: :!:

Same here... I talk about my phamily and my family and they don't get it!!! Now I'm talking about a wonderful reunion of phriends that I've not met yet... doesn't make much sense to them... But I CAN'T WAIT!!!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR CARING FROM ONE PHRIEND TO ANOTHER. I TALK ABOUT YOU GUYS ALL THE TIME. I HAVE FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT I'VE KNOWN FOR YEARS AND I DON'T GET ANY COMMENTS NOTES PHONE CALSS OR ANYTHING. I sure feel for you! I dislike dentists....A LOT!!!! At a young age I had a very bad experience and have been scared of them since. As I have aged though I've realized that the procedures are NOT like they used to be and if I have to go then give me the gas and I'm fine! I'll be thinking of you phriend! Give us an update if and when you can.
