Sounds like an evening of lovely music, Lula! (But personally, I think David should have more solos...)

Thanks for the posting, Lula, it sounds a lot like the group coming to Baltimore for our Christmas concert! I was wondering what songs we would hear, now I'm more excited than ever! My son is going with Laura and me and a teacher and her husband from a local elementary school. They are fans of GVB and are really looking forward to hearing them, especially at Christmas! Counting down....!

QUOTE (Lula @ Dec 4 2009, 03:02 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
The Gaither Homecoming Christmas Concert in Duluth, GA, Dec. 3, 2009, was fantastic. Artists who performed were Bill and Gloria Gaither, David Phelps, Mark Lowry, Michael English, Wes Hampton, Russ Taff, Charlotte Ritchie, Larnelle Harris, Lynda Randle, Buddy Greene, Jeff Taylor, Gordon Mote, The Issacs, Gene McDonald, Reggie and Ladye Love Smith, Larry Gatlin, Logan Smith, Kevin Williams, Greg Ritchie, and the Mt. Paran Church of God Choir.

Our David had two solos, one was Nessun Dorma and the other was O Holy Night. Other songs performed (this is probably not a complete list) were: Come See What's Happening in the Barn, Silent Night, I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas, Away in a Manger, Mary Did You Know, I Believe in a Hill Called Mt. Calvary, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, Winter Wonderland, O Come All Ye Faithful, Christmas Times a Comin', Mary Loved Her Unborn Child (Larry Gatlin), There's Just Something About That Name, Go Tell It on the Mountain, Children Go Where I Send Thee, I Want to Be a Star (Larnell Harris), Chapel Bells Were Ringing, Alpha & Omega, Mercy Walked In, What a Wonderous Name, All the Gold in California (Larry Gatlin at Bill's request), Cannon in D and The William Tell Overture (Buddy Greene on harmonica and Jeff Taylor on accordion).

I'm sure Lena and Tammy can add more detail. I have hundreds of pictures that I have to sort through and will post some of them later.

Thanks for the report, Lula. It sounds like a perfectly enchanting evening! smile.gif
