As soon as I got home tonight from work I raced to my laptop to read the latest on Joey (and Jackee) but (long story) waited until now to post. Like all of us, I've been 'a prayin' phool all day!!!

Janette, I loved what you wrote, admired how you wrote it................and astounded at its length!! smile.gif Underneath we knew ya had it in ya all along--you just needed something (or a certain someone) important enough to show us what you've got. smile.gif . Those words were straight from a grandmom's heart. Really beautifully stated......and understood by so many here.

I've been finally really "decompressing" for the last 7 hours from all the earlier anxiety, although I've got to admit Joey's "romance" laugh.gif with the nurse started me off laugh.gif . Like everyone else, I'll be adding in my constant prayers as well. I can't explain it--I don't know if it's YOU or what laugh.gif, but I can't stop thinking about him. So every time he pops into my mind, I send out another of my visual white-Light-of-the-Christ healing prayers. This kid's gonna be positively GLOWING from all the love from here, I tell ya!!!

Thank you for more of the story. I also was glad to find out the driver's name. Poor Curtis. From all that's been said, my heart's breaking for him. I've been stepping up my prayers for him as he needs peace and emotional healing.

Will be looking for more and more positive updates as time goes on!!! LOVE TO EVERYONE.

Love and Light,

Lauri

It's really amazeing how God Watches after his children. Praise God!!!!

JEANETTE, I HAVE A STORY OF THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT MAY BE HELPFUL TO YOU, BUT ITS SO HARD FOR ME TO TALK ABOUT. AND THIS HAPPENED 33 YEARS AGO. MY PREACHER HUSBAND WAS IN A HORRIABLE ACCIDENT. HE HAD BEEN IN CHAPLE HILL , NC. PREACHING ALL WEEK AND ON HIS WAY HOME IS WHEN IT ALL HAPPENED. I WAS 8 MO. PREGENT, WITH OUR FIRST CHILD. WHEN THE OFFICER CALLED ME ON THE PHONE TO TELL ABOUT THE WRECK. I ASKED HIM IF HE WAS CONCIENCE AND HE TOLD ME NO. I KNEW IT WAS BAD. SO I KELT DOWN AND ASKED THE LORD TO MAKE HIM WHOLE . I WAS TERRIFIED! he lived TWO WEEKS . BUT NEVER KNEW ANY THING. IT BROKE HIS NECK. AND WHEN THE MAN THAT HIT HIM FOUND OUT THAT HE WAS A MINISTER AND WE WERE EXPECTING OUR FIRST CHILD. HE WAS DEVESTAVID. IT LIFT HIM BLIND. AND I KNOW IT WAS VERY HARD ON HIM. HE JUST COULDNT WNDERSTAND WHY THE LORD DIDNT TAKE HIM IN STEAD OF CURT MY HUS. THIS IS JUST PART OF THE STORY. ILL TELL THE OTHER PART SOME OTHER TIME ITS STILL HARD FOR ME TO TALK ABOUT. WILLSHARE IT LATER --JUST KNOW ILL BE PRAYING FOR ALL.
BE THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING,

Good Evening All...Chatty here...speaking for Janette...BUT at her request!! LOL...She called on the way home from the hospital...she had just picked up Zach from a Church Youth Gathering...and was a very tired but happy Grandma!! She asked me to tell every one that Joey was moved to step-down this afternoon!! PTL...She said he was very tired after his move and that he slept most of the time she was there but did wake up once in a while and tried to join in the conversation a little bit. She said that she was so happy they felt he was ready to make the move that she didn't mind that he slept.

Janette said they began some "Very Light Rehab" on Joey after his move, very short and just some moving around of his legs so that might have added to his tiredness. She also added that Joey is still on quite a bit of pain meds which keeps him sedated. Susan is still spending most of her time at the hospital but Janette did say that she seems to be finally relaxing some and did get some sleep last night in chair/bed they provided for her.

As I stated before it is always uplifting to bring a report of another step forward for Joey...the Dr's reminded them again today it will be a long rehab but the good thing Joey IS moving forward!! God Is Good!!

Janette, I read this at work earlier but couldn't type a response because of my crying. Not a pretty sight!!

What an amazing story...and what an even more Amazing God we serve. Joey definitely had angels watching over him. My prayers continue for your family and for Curtis.

Janette, like Kellie, I opened this thread and saw the length of your post and chuckled (you know I'm teasing ya) then I read it all and had to wipe away the tears.......because I know the Lord was there with Joey as well. It's just a God thing and it's wonderful isn't it? I'm just so relieved to hear all the good news. I know it's helping y'all breathe a sigh of relief as well!

I will continue to pray for all of you, and esp. Joey and Curtis! (Bless Curtis' heart)......Looking forward to more updates with good news when you can!

What a story Janette. As you know I was away, but thanks to the wonderful phamily we have on these boards, I was able to get up to date news on the situation and pray through the unknown, the surgery and today. Cell service was terrible, and I missed an update or two but Chatty made sure I had the latest information. I can't tell you how relieved I was every update that even though Joey has a long recovery ahead of him that he was improving and doing well.
How is Susan? I hope she is getting some rest and eating a meal now and again. Please give her a big hug from me. How about Zach? He must have been so worried.
My prayers continue for all of you and if there is anything I can do from so far away, you know how to reach me.
