This is one of my all-time favorite "David songs." I heard it first on the Israel Homecoming, so I suppose that is why I like it the most. But the fact that it was filmed in Jerusalem makes the words that much more poignant.

While it is true that no man knows the day nor hour that Jesus will return, current events make it seem ever closer.

Anytime anywhere David Phelps sings These are They is beyond great, fabulous is a better
word. I have heard him on every CD sing this and they are all great, especially the Australian
DVD. David is just GREAT! not matter what.

The Australian version is my favourite too but then I'm Australian so maybe that has something to do with it lol.
Being it was the first time I heard that song and also that it was sung (I think) in one of the worlds greatest venues is what holds it dear to me. Bill & Gloria Gaither wrote the music and lyrics - they sure have written a bunch of great songs befitting a great singer like David who interprets them so beautifully.

I love the Rocky Mountain version, too.

I remember the first time I heard him sing that song, it was April 2002, in Dayton OH, and I had gotten to use an extra ticket a co-worker of mine had at the very last minute. I was thrilled beyond words to be there to begin with. I had just recently thought about that song, thinking I'd love to hear him sing it, and when I attended that concert, I heard the music start and thought I was in Heaven! smile.gif It was like they had read my mind. smile.gif

LOL Linda, I did the same thing at the concert this past April when they started singing The Love of God. If I thought the guy beside me wouldn't have called security I would have gigged and danced around in my chair.

The Australia version is also my favorite. It was the first one I saw and I wonder how many times we prefer the first version we see or hear of something. I also like the Australia version better than the one on Jerusalem. But they are all good.
