I have always love Mark Lowry. He has such a way with words, and has such a wonderful voice.
Blessings,
Jean

I love when Mark is talking before he sings "Mary, Did You Know" where he tells Bill about all he learned from him; and he says, "Well, I did; just receive it". smile.gif laugh.gif It cracks me up, and I love watching David's expression afterwards. smile.gif biggrin.gif It's one of those "watch over and over" moments for me. smile.gif biggrin.gif

Watched Vol 2 last night and loved it. Some of my favorite songs on this one, like Passin' The Faith and Build An Ark,although some were also unfamiliar i.e. New Point of View. Russ Taff singing to Maddie was so adorable. Love that guy!!!. David's arrangement of OLTWNLMG which he sang alongside Bill,Guy and Marsh took me back to 2004,when I heard them sing it live. Makes me sad to think that Guy and Marsh are gone now,and while change is good,I think their loss will be felt for a long time to come. The Love of God was another standout for me,as was Marsh's When I Cry. I so hope and pray that he will continue to write and record. He is one talented young man. I'm Free never fails to remind me that the one I serve has not only forgiven me my past,he has forgotten it too.....even when I can't. Watching Michael's anguish pour out, reinforces the fact that no matter how far we fall, the Lord will always be there to pick us up,dust us off and welcome us back into the fold. I have always love Mark Lowry. He has such a way with words, and has such a wonderful voice. Like most of you I was eagerly anticipating the release of the DVDS,and I have not been disappointed. Seeing David back in the bosom of his Gaither family where he belongs IMHO,really warms my heart. I really believe that God has great things in store for the new GVB in the months and hopefully years to come, and I can't wait!!!!.

As a footnote....While at the bookstore,I also picked up THE BEST OF THE GVB two disc CD set. Great stuffs!! as Lo would say. Highly recommend it !!!.

Blessings,
Jean

I'm watching the reunion Volume 2 and I remembered the point I wanted to make when I talked about Volume 1! smile.gif I so miss Anthony Burger accompanying all these great singers. He was certainly a very vital part in a lot of the vocal bands and I miss him. That's not to take away at all from Gordon Mote's performance.....he's great too! biggrin.gif But Anthony was just a member in his own way and I know he was there in spirit. smile.gif

Wasn't that an awesome arrangement of "O Love That Will Not Let Me Go"?
David arranged it - and I'm not surprised biggrin.gif
It was so good, I watched just that song twice in a row unsure.gif wink.gif

That was Awesome....We watched the videos all the way through...Made ourselves not go back...(and believe me that was hard)...Now we will start back through both of them and repeat our favorite ones... We should be through them again in about 6 months !! laugh.gif rolleyes.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

It was about as flawless as could be on the Australian one! I like watching Anthony Burger watch David sing at the end of that one.

Flawless is right, Linda... I thought it was much better than whan they sang it on the a capella CD. And, yes, watching Anthony watching David added to it. smile.gif

I've watched this video and it is great, as well! Great songs and stories, too!! David is singing on several songs on this DVD, also. Bill talks with him about arranging, before the song O Love That Will Not Let Me Go, which David arranged. He says David, besides his great voice, brought a lot of music knowledge to the group. David said he learned a lot of layman's terms from Bill and how to take what he had learned at school and apply it to his singing. He gives an example which only music people understand...I didn't! (guess I don't understand French either!) laugh.gif Bill talked about a capella. The first song they sang a capella was Star Spangled Banner that someone else had arranged. That made David want to do some arranging. DP also sings on When the Rains Come and The Love of God, with 3 tenors, Larnelle, Wes & DP. Bill also interviews DP before The Love of God. He says his voice was in fine form every night for eight years, except one night. DP said, "You would remember that ONE NIGHT!" He went on to talk about several nights that he didn't think he could sing, but kept it to himself and things went OK. Singing night after night, you need to protect your voice as an athlete would protect his legs, etc...one reason Bill had three tenors on The Love of God. "You have to be able to sing those 'money notes'!" David & Guy sang backup for Mark's Mary Did You Know! biggrin.gif
