Amen, Helen!
I don't mind if people don't respond to my posts, and I don't think it should matter. This place should not be considered a place like highschool with the different groups of people - popular, jocks, geeks, etc.
If you are here for the popularity, I think you're in the wrong place. JMHO

Good grief.....this beats any of the political threads.

I am going to preface what I am going to say with this: this is all my humble opinion.

In the past, when I have hurt more than it seems that any other human being could possibly hurt, I have gotten defensive and tried to and succeeded in pushing people away. I know that instead of attacking back, we could provide a better example of Jesus' love - by praying or offering kind words.

You all may or may not be aware that I am loving some Casting Crowns music in addition to DP. I won't post all of the songs here, but 2 thoughts to chew on:

1. She's desperate for hope, darkness clouding her view. She's looking to you. Just love her like Jesus, carry her to Him. His yoke is easy, His burden is light. You don't need the answers to all of life's questions, Just know that He loves her and stay by her side. Love her like Jesus.

2. If we are the body, Why aren't His arms reaching? Why aren't His hands healing? Why aren't His words teaching? And if we are the body, Why aren't His feet going? Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way. Jesus payed much too high a price, For us to pick and choose who should come. We are the body of Christ. Jesus is the way.

Glad you guys cleared all that up. And thanks Melissa for your nice comments. BTW, I have posted more then 1500. I have been a member since 04 and have had 3-4 different usernames coming from different email addresses. I had asked admin. to lump them all together but I guess he never got the time. No big deal though.

Anyway, I try and post as much as I can but like you said I do have a lot on my plate and I thank you for understanding.

Carol, I think maybe some of the reason you feel that way (and btw, I'm sorry that you do because I do enjoy your posts when you put them on) is that you don't post as much as some of us do (you have like 1,500 since about this time last year and I have like 2,500 since Feb..... :oops: :oops: :oops: actually that's a little embarrassing! ha ha). Anyway, I'm thinking that you miss a lot of stuff since you're not on as much as I am or others are.

I think that some do get closer to each other on here, and that's to be expected. Some people just click and for others it's just a little awkward! But that doesn't mean we don't like you and don't want you here. I can guarantee you if you got on here tomorrow and said you were leaving there would be plenty of responses telling you to stay!

Maybe try jumping in a little more if you can (because I know you have had your hands very full lately). But I do know that none of us want you to leave! And we do miss you when you're not posting.

I think Gretchen said it well that we shouldn't be posting to get responses, because I think everyone on here has had posts that bombed before! Like Helen said, it's just all part of it on the message boards!

Ok, I hope I said all that well. We need each person that is here to stay here and be part of this phamily....it's what makes us who we are!

Yeah, you're right Helen. That's the way it is. As for the mean stuff. I guess I missed all that. It shouldn't be that way at all. That's not what dp has given us this site for. Thanks for clearing things up and I guess I have to agree. I have to admit that at times I feel like the girl in school that nobody likes. You don't get the inside jokes....etc. But whatever. That's not why I'm here.
