Oh there will be plenty of things to do at the fair Helen. And yes funnel cakes galore!!! Actually...all kidding aside...it is a pretty neat fair. I think you will enjoy what you will see. Let me know how it goes and see ya on I-70!!! :lol:

So, Tracey, is the fair pretty much like a big 4-H fest? Or will there maybe be some rides and games and booths for various organizations? Maybe some funnel cakes? We're trying to decide if it's worth it to get there Wednesday so we can spend some time at the fair on Thursday before the show. Otherwise it will literally be drive in, see show, sleep over, drive home...Which is fine but hey - if we can enjoy some other stuff while there why not!

Janette, you have no idea how many times I have tried my darndest to get to Texas!!! Last year in March (07) I was in Bossier City, LA and was within 20 minutes of the Texas line..........I wanted to go so bad and at least cross the line just so I can finally say I have been to Texas, but alas I was with my cousin/aunt for my other cousins funeral and it just didn't seem like the right time to say "hey, can I borrow your car and drive over the Texas/Louisiana line so I can say I have been to Texas?" That is the closest I have been to Texas! Otherwise, Baton Rouge, LA is the fartherest west I have ever been.........I know........very sad isn't it????? I'm missing so many great states west of the Mississippi!

If I EVER do get to Texas and I'm in your area, I will be sure to let you know! LOL Ya never know!

Well, you just need to try a little harder! :roll: :wink: Feel free to stop by anytime you are in the area...or call and I'll meet ya for a good 'ol Starbucks... :wink:

We are going to the State Fair to see Air Supply in concert!

Are you seriously coming all the way from OH to MO to see Air Supply? Not that Air Supply isn't good but the MO State Fair??? Have fun in Sedalia, MO...don't get too excited though about that town!

Indeed we are! LOL! They aren't coming much closer to here this summer. Summer Air Supply concerts are a tradition so we decided to be adventurous. I doubt we'll see much of the town. We're driving in and driving out.

Well Have fun looking at all the livestock! HAHA...If you are driving Interstate 70 wave at me when you drive through Columbia....hey if you wanna stop here let me know!
