I would respectfully recommend against the inclusion of Sir Paul McCartney's Silly Love Songs.

What's wrong with that? I need to know.

I've always thought David's voice is perfect for the theater. With that in mind, how about Lancelot's song to Guinevere in Camelot??

If ever I would leave you
It wouldn't be in summer.
Seeing you in summer I never would go.
Your hair streaked with sun-light,
Your lips red as flame,
Your face with a lustre
that puts gold to shame!

But if I'd ever leave you,
It couldn't be in autumn.
How I'd leave in autumn I never will know.
I've seen how you sparkle
When fall nips the air.
I know you in autumn
And I must be there.

And could I leave you
running merrily through the snow?
Or on a wintry evening
when you catch the fire's glow?

If ever I would leave you,
How could it be in spring-time?
Knowing how in spring I'm bewitched by you so?
Oh, no! not in spring-time!
Summer, winter or fall!
No, never could I leave you at all!

I would like it if he sang a duet with Lori for the song "When I Said I Do, I Meant I will." by Clint Black and Lisa Hartman-Black (That's Jims and My song)

Then the following are more favorites:

Unchained Melody - Righteous Brothers
All Out Of Love - AirSupply
Forever and Ever, Amen - Randy Travis
But For The Grace Of God - Keith Urban

Love, Me - Collin Raye ( This one gets me every time!)

Love, Me Lyrics

I read a note my grandma wrote back in nineteen twenty-three.
Grandpa kept it in his coat, and he showed it once to me. He said,
"Boy, you might not understand, but a long, long time ago,
Grandma's daddy didn't like me none, but I loved your Grandma so."

We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together.
Get married in the first town we came to, and live forever.
But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet, instead
Of her, I found this letter, and this is what it said:

If you get there before I do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long I'll be.
But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.

I read those words just hours before my Grandma passed away,
In the doorway of a church where me and Grandpa stopped to pray.
I know I'd never seen him cry in all my fifteen years;
But as he said these words to her, his eyes filled up with tears.

If you get there before I do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long I'll be.
But I'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.
Between now and then, till I see you again,
I'll be loving you. Love, me.

Besides maybe it will lead someone from the secular genre to David's other music. I cannot think of a better way to witness. Amy Grant, Micheal W. Smith and many of the country singers come to mind.

Zenaldo, this is simply my thought on the "Love Song" CD. We are told that God is love, people judge Christians by the way that they treat others & we are commanded to love others as ourselves. Personally, I don't think that there's anything wrong with a Christian artist singing a love song. To me, there's no greater expression of being a Christian than telling your husband/wife/family/friends that you love them.

By the way, I don't think that all of the songs are secular. I only started this thread for fun, I just wanted to see what other people wanted on the CD if they could get their wish. I'm certain that David will make an album that glorifies God. smile.gif
