Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain for the former things are passed away.

I John 4:7-8

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Here are a couple of the cards I have in mine and a couple of really good quotes I have in there.....

Deut. 31:6 "Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord, Thy God, He it is that doth go with thee....He will not fail thee nor forsake thee."

Proverbs 14:26 "In the fear of the Lord is STRONG CONFIDENCE and His children SHALL have a place of refuge."

Fear can't get a stronghold on the heart of someone whose eyes are full of a vision of God's greatness and His majesty. (I don't know who said this, but it wasn't orginal with me)

David Wilkerson: "Our Lord Jesus Christ has conquered death, and today He stands victoriously over EVERY trial you face. Moreover, He is with you in your trial. I urge you to life up your eyes from your pain and remember His wondrous works for you. There you'll have a vision of the majesty and glory OF GOD WHO IS YOUR DELIVERANCE.

It's also a good idea to make note of past deliverances....I heard someone say David had the courage to face Goliath because he remembered that God had already delivered him from the bear and the lion.

Isiah 41:10

You going to make me look this one up??

You've probably already done it....but here you go wink.gif

10Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Good stuffs Lindis!!! Thanx biggrin.gif

Thanks, Lindis. I was at work and couldn't look it up, and I knew if I tried to get it right, I wouldn't. Actually, I would be able to quote the words to a song that someone I know wrote based on that verse, and I knew if I did that, it might be slightly different and someone would think I didn't know what I was saying. LOL But in looking now at what Lindis posted, I guess it is exactly the same, I just assumed it would be a little different.

My parents claimed that verse all the time my father was battling cancer. After he was gone, Mom found little porcelain figurines with an angel/child leaning in God's big hand, and bought one for all us kids and herself. Mine sat on my dresser for about 10 years, but I finally put it away when I thought I was going to move a couple of years ago.

I would have to say that as much as I love this scripture, I didn't find it on my own, someone we all know of and love actually brought it to my attention... It is Mark 10:45, and says...

"For even the son of man did not come to be served, but to serve and give his life as a ransome for many."

I love this scripture because it is very humbling. We live in a very selfish world, it seems that every where you turn, someone is trying to prove themselves better than others. It keeps me reminded that no matter how high on the ladder we get in life, we are no better in God's eyes as the last person who is less fortunate. Jesus came as a sacrifice to all of us, while he walked the earth, he didn't expect special treatment because he was going to die at the age of 33 for people who would choose him and even those who don't. He faithfully served his father and carried out God's plan. Christ set the perfect example in which we should follow, and even after his sacrifice he doesn't demand from us, God gives us the choice to believe in his son or not. There is just no greater love. That scripture speaks to me on many levels but above all it keeps me humble.
