Australia
Hey Phriends!
This past month has been a whirlwind...and it been great! First some of my band and I took off for Australia. We had a smooth ride, but it did take over 20 hours of travel to get there. I'm now in love with Qantas Airlines. They were amazing! Anyway we arrived in Brisbane Early on Friday and had the whole day off to sight see. It's a great city. One of the locals called it a "big country town". It really has that feel--very warm but plenty to keep you busy. The food was great...fish and chips at least a couple of times. Andrea loved the shopping. I think she spent more than she made! That night our hosts took us on the huge ferris wheel located at South Bank. We were pretty wiped out by that time, but the view was incredible.
The next morning we all got up and went just out of town to a Koala sanctuary. When you see the animals there and how different they really are it hits home how isolated this continent was for so many centuries. Jack was determined to box a Kangaroo. I have to admit I would have loved to see that but I was torn about who I would be rooting for. I did get to cuddle a Koala. Manuel was his name...we are forever bonded. Chris held one too, but his left him a little surprise.
From there we went to sound check at the convention center. Alabaster Box was opening the night and I have to say they were great. They are from Australia, but live in Tennessee now. It was good to get to speak with them for a little while. The concert was a blast. The crowd was little timid at first, but warmed up in no time. Before intermission it they were wild! It's hard to know how to take us Yanks sometimes. It was quite a full concert. I think we played for nearly 2 hours when it was all said and done. I was amazed and overwhelmed at the record table. There were so many nice things said and so many moving testimonies. People by the bus loads drove 10 to 15 hours to see the concert. What an honor.
Last time I went to Australia I left saying it was one of my favorite places. That rings true again. Go there if you ever get a chance. I can't wait to go again soon!
hope to see you soon...

Heaven
Saved, Sanctified and set free because of The Blood of the resurrected Christ.
I cannot wait to get to heaven David, especially when I am absolutely convinced that angels must stand in amazement when your voice breaks out.
As I lay dying on my hospital bed last week I asked for two things..... One was to hold my Bible and the second was to listen to you singing Oh Holy Night. As I listened to your voice the Spirit of God touch my salmonella filled body, liver and kidneys in full blown renal failure B U T, within 12 hours, a body which was about to go into eternity, was released from hospital.
The power of an anointed voice huh??
God Bless you my dear brother.
See you in heaven.

Koalas & Roos
Hi David,
Glad you enjoyed your time here. Come back as often as you like! Bring all your friends!
We are very proud of our iconic animals!
Don't know about you, but holding a koala as it munches gum leaves in your ear is an unforgettable experience...emotional!
And the roos...I'd put my bet on him in a fight!!!
sorry we didn't get to see you in concert. Didn't even know you were here....the west is a long way from Brissy!
Your biggest Aussie fans
Hi David.
Thanks so much for making the long trip to Brisbane: to meet you was so special. The concert was unbelievable and unforgettable. I hope you'll come back to visit us before too long - and perhaps you could include us Sydney fans next time.
God bless you.
Love,
Imelda and Graham Gilmore.
