Mom's in rehab. Not doing too good. She broke her arm and had to have her elbow rebuilt. She is losing weight and sick on her stomach. 79 but looks older since she lost weight. In a lot of pain.

Please remember Carolyn in your prayers.

Oh my, Carol--I just realized that I had never responded to your question about the upcoming Gaither Fest in Myrtle Beach in October. I'm so sorry--I didn't mean to ignore you!! I'm afraid the answer will be no; things are just a bit too tight to do any concerts unless they are in my own "backyard." (Which I was able to do last Easter when I FINALLY, after 7 years, was able to coordinate my son Christian's, David's and my schedules and got to take my son to Lakeland, FL (about 45 minutes away) for his very first LIVE DP concert......AND ......was able to introduce him to David, something on my bucket list!!! ) Haha--I actually got a bit nervous while standing in line phor the Meet N Greet that they'd both look at me, and then at each other, and with sighs just go . Anyway, with the economy and such, I just can't plan things anymore unless, like I said, they're right around the corner and at the right price. The Easter concert was not only cah-lohse but also PHA-REE--- ----so ya can't get any "righter" than that!!!

Question for ya--were you able to make the MRI appointment? By any chance have your gone yet? 'Hopefully those knees of yours are finally healing, or that the doctor can figure out, once and for all, what is taking so long. 'Still sending my prayers for that until you're A-Okay with them's knees-ies. (I think my Spellcheck just subliminally phlashed me a message of "Okay--we let the "cah-lohse and phar-ree" slide...but seriously, what is WRONG with her???" )

Also, prayers are there for your mom. What are the doctors saying? Whenever our loved ones hurt, so do we, so I am hoping they will be able to help her. I'm so sorry that she is in such pain. Please keep us updated, alright?

Quite alright!! No worries!! Sorry you can't make it up here but I understand. We are having a rough time too.

I'll be 60 this year (60 seems so old for me ). Need to make a bucket list myself

Been putting my knees off because of having to help care for Mom. I'm taking pain pills alot. Nurse in nursing home said I needed to go back to the Dr. Guess I'll get there sooner or later.

Mama will be in rehab at least 2 more weeks. After that I don't know. She may have to go to a nursing home long term because of other problems. The Drs. seem to think her surgery went well but to me she does not look good. All sewed up and black and blue and swollen. Wish I was better equipped to care for her (breaks my heart) but I am sick too.

Update on Mama: She is doing much better. Therapy several times a day has done wonders. Her arm and hand's swelling is going away. The pain has also lessened. Hoping she comes home sometime next week. She will be living with me.

I'm lovin' this latest update, Carol!! I'm not just happy to know her pain has lessened, but also that she's looking better in your eyes, and who would know better? I'm sure you've been all over various plans with taking care of your mom, but I have to ask will you be able to have help, as with visiting nurses, nurse's aides, etc.? They can be such a God send!! I'll be looking for more of the same good updates!!

Wish I had better news for myself. I had a relaspe with my legs. I think I've just been trying to do too much with Mama in rehab (running back and forth till I've irratated them). So, I have a appointment Wed 8:40 to the Orthropedics. I'm going to ask him for a MRI and try and find out why my legs are not healing. Hate to have to wear a cast or have surgery!! Anyway, I'll let y'all know what he says. Didn't have this much problem with my hysterectomy .

I am happy for Mama that she has healed so fast but she may have to go to a nuring home at least till I get better.

Went to Orthropedics today. He did another exray and gave me a steroid shot for my knee. My diagnosis was Patellar Tendinitis. Got to go back to Dr. next week. He also said I had a bad case of arthritis (nothing new). Just thought I'd update y'all.
