MAJOR Prayers Needed.

Postby Sngrchk » Wed May 23, 2012 8:01 pm

I just found out that an "internet friend" ~ whom I've never met in person, but we've developed a friendship via the Internet ~ is having surgery for a possible breast tumor....

...AND, my older (and ONLY) Sister is going in for a total hysterectomy in early June. :|

Please...thank you.

    Thanks so much, you guys....

I'm just really sad today....my Husband and I had to go to a Funeral yesterday for his Uncle, who was 91....he had a great Life and people were swapping stories and everything...I was fine....

But, this time of year is hard for me - I had mentioned in my "Tell Us Something" post about losing 3 friends in 2001 - well, one of them, Kelly, died on Memorial Day Weekend, 2001 - Sunday, May 27th - at age 27.

Going to the Funeral yesterday just re-opened all of that for me....I thought I was "beyond" this, y'know? :|
I didn't go to her Service, because I didn't know - I didn't find out about it until Labor Day weekend - at a Saturn Dealership, of all places.....I ran into an ex-coworker of ours and she told me.

I really need to focus on the good things or watch funny cartoons or something.....sigh......

Thinking about you Nora. The past few days have been a real emotional roller coaster for myself, many issues which I really can't get into here. But anyway, just wanted to tell ya that I'm thinking about ya, I have some inkling what your going through and will be praying. Oh, I just wanted to add a comment to your line above... Do we really ever get over losing someone?... I don't think so. Maybe it just hurts a little less, but I don't really think we get over something like that. Here I go again crying. Like I said emotional roller coaster.

    God Bless

    Hello Nora,

I also had the same experience of having an internet friend who underwent health problems. What I did was I encouraged him by-- quoting bible verses every time we had a chat, sent him some Christian CDs to lift his spirits and sent him emails on healthy dieting. At that time I was discouraged myself...my faith was hohumm. After trying to encourage him, I just found myself encouraged, too! He later told me how I had been a help to him and that he was encouraged to pray more and to let God takeover his situation.

I realized that I have affirmed my faith in our ALL-KNOWING, ALL-SUFFICIENT GOD and by encouraging other people I get encouraged, too. (a lesson well learned)

I also try to help poor kids who are very ill. I collect used toys, clothes, etc. and give them away. It somehow lessens their pain and it lifts me up to see smiling faces :) :) :)

Maybe you can sing to some kids? :)

Your friend as well as your sister are in my prayers.

Always remember, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD.

    God bless,
    Maris
