Three things I forgot about:
1. When JFK with Kevin Costner was being filmed in downtown Dallas where I worked, a friend and I snuck out of work several times and watched while they were doing it (there were barricades). We never got close to Kevin Coster, but saw him nonetheless and that was thrilling. We tried going on our lunch hour but didn't see much because the actors, etc. were also on their lunch hour.
2. Jimmy Dean (sausage) was a client of the law firm where I worked and one time when he was there, he was about to leave and was passing through an area where my desk was. He thought of something he forgot to mention to the attorney, who was the head partner of the firm,(he had already gone into a meeting) so Jimmy said "Anyone take shorthand?" I gladly said I did so he dictated two pages of notes to me and I helped him out. He was a very nice man and was a giant in stature. And it got me a few points with the head of the firm until the day I ran into him with a cup of coffee and his pretty white shirt became brown and his pockets full of coffee. Could have died right there I was so embarassed. He was gracious about it, though. Also, some of you may have never heard of Robbie Benson, but he was a client, too.
3. Jan Michael-Vincent used to be in a lot of movies and a couple of TV series years ago. My neighbor knows him and JMV has been over to see him twice. I met him and shook his hand. He looks very distinguished now with white hair. He is pretty much a hermit these days and nobody really knows what became of him after he messed up with drugs and alcohol. Now he has a younger wife who despises anybody that mentions when he was a star. I don't know if he ever got off the booze and drougs but he seemed nice.
Well, I will tell about meeting Elvis, but this is alrady too llong.
