I tell ya...this week has been going by at a snail's pace!! I think it's
because David's concert is Phriday! So time just goes by so slowly!!
It's such a wonderful gift from the Father each and every time we
get the opportunity to see David and the crew! Plus the concert is
on Good Friday and that makes it even more special. So phriends,
how is your week going so far? Work has been busy for me, but I am
so grateful to have a job. Please remember in your prayers all those
who were affected by all the tornados and bad storms yesterday.
My brother and his family live near Dallas and praise God they are
okay. I know it had to be very frightening. Well...I'm going to leave
you all with an clip I ran across from several years ago right before
"The Voice" was released. I haven't seen this clip in a long time!! I
sure enjoyed watching it again...and since time seems to be going
by "so slowly" this week! Maybe it's God's way of telling us to slow
our lives down! Anyway...enjoy! Be blessed and have an great day!

Lena, I agree with you about the speed that this week is taking. I'm just out the door to LIndsay where those adorable granddaughters are waiting for me!! The twins turned 4 last week and I keep thinking they will start acting like little girls any day now - not happening yet. So busy - or I am just too old to keep up!!

Anyway, one week from today we leave for Lancaster. Two Gaither Vocal Band concerts, a play at the Sight and Sound Theatre - Jonah - and some shopping during the day. Can't wait!! Although, all 3 girls are wondering how Gramma can take a vacation without them. Hmmmm!!!!!

A blessed Easter to everyone. Bonnie

Yes, as David sings in this video, "Time moves so slooowly." Great video, hadn't seen it in a long time. Gonna be great Friday night in Gainesville! :D

Thank you, Lena.....yup; I must go out and purchase this. 8-)

"....It's just a scratch-vocal."

If that's a scratch-vocal, then I should just hang up my Mic and walk away right now.

A "scratch-vocal" is just a track where you don't really put anything into the performance: you can sing "lalala", hum, talk the lyrics, sing softly, etc. It's used primarily to hear the Music and where the Vocals come into play.

My band TRAG records everything "live" - all at the same time, in one room - So, I sing the Scratch just to keep time with everyone....then, I go back and sing a real Performance Track, and then add my own Backing Vocals on top of that.

Oh, and hey, Nora (and anyone else who's kinda new and would love to see sumthin' that'll melt your heart ;) ) here's David doing a sound check a couple years back, showing why we all love this clip. The reason it's special to us will be apparent. I believe it's a perfect example of David doing what he does best (affecting lives with that glorious voice), and how our phriendships we have made here (thanks to David and Lori) have become lifelong ones. David and Lori have created a safe place where we have been able to make a true phamily.

This one's got it all: The Silvers (JoAnne and Roger), doing what THEY do best ( ;) :D  ;) ), with one of their best phriends Janette coming around near the end to help in any way she can (doin' what SHE does best :D ), and it's all on tape because of Gretchen's quick thinking love phor us (one of the things that SHE does best :D ). Gives me a case of da warm phuzzies each and every time I see it. Enjoy. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
