Prayers for my daughter, Caroline

My husband and I went to David's concert in New Bern last night and he mentioned this prayer forum. This forum is just what I need right now because I took my 11 year old daughter, Caroline, to the doctor today due to a hard, bony lump just below her knee. Caroline just showed me Sunday night and said she has had this for a long time. Anyway, the doctor looked pretty concerned and sent her for xrays and a referral to an Orthopedic Surgeon (appointment ASAP). Please pray for a simple and successful treatment and that God will completely heal her from this. Also, pray for me because I am trying not to worry because I know by doing that, I am not trusting God to take care of things. However, I am human and a mother, so being concerned is just a natural response to this particular situation.

I just received a call from the doctor and there is a tumor in her leg. We do not know if it is benign or malignant. Our current doctor is in communication with a pediatric specialist and are trying to get her in to see the specialist ASAP.

I have lifted Caroline up to the Lord and know that HE will take care of her. Thank you so much for your continued prayers.

You know what I think, Sonya? If you think about it, you heard about David's Prayer Room at exactly the time when you needed it--ya gotta admit that God's Hand is all over this situation......and His timing is 'purty darn good! As a mom, I can only imagine how much you are trying not to worry, but if you need a rest for a bit, we stand right behind you, waiting to take over Caroline in the prayer department. Just turn your fears over to us for as long as you need--we're always here, holding Caroline, you, and your family in our love-filled prayers. Please update us as soon as you're able, alright?

Thank you everyone for your continued prayers for Caroline. The doctor says she definitely has a tumor in her leg and it looks benign for now. It is located at the growth plate on the side of the knee. They will not operate to remove this tumor because if so, it will cause the inner part of her leg (from knee down) to never grow again while the outer part of her leg would continue to grow. This would cause a major deformity in her leg and foot, so they want to see her back in June to discuss possible surgical options. They want to give her leg more time to grow. We need to keep a close watch on her and if notice fatigue, loss of appetite, pain at site of tumor, etc...then we need to get her to doctor immediately.

To me, this is a praise because it is benign at the moment but still need your prayers!! This prayer forum has been a true blessing just knowing that prayers will be lifted, not only for my child, but also for anybody who needs it. God is so good!!
