UPDATE ON MY DAUGHTER,Samantha(sami)

Our New Orleans trip was eventful. several test on my daughter.We did not get real good news today. Samantha will have to have surgery on her stomach. Her previous surgeries as a child caused a mess. her stomach is pretty messed up. It was a shock to us that her stomach was in such bad shape. This explains the pain she has been in. We have been trying to find out where the pain was coming from for over a year now. I am thankful that we found it,though.
Anyway,Dr.H. has to find a surgeon that can and will do this surgery.Please keep her in your prayers.She is very scared of doctors as it is. we have had a very emotional day...your prayers are greatly appreciated

Placida, I understand how frightening the prospect of surgery can be for anyone......but perhaps looking at it as something POSITIVE, something you've been searching for--the CHANCE TO BEGIN TO HEAL, could help. Remember, ANYTHING is better than that pain and NOT knowing what the cause is.

I KNOW THE NEWS WAS NOT ESPECIALLY GOOD, BUT AT LEAST NOW YOU HAVE AN ANSWER AS TO WHY SAMI WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN AND NOW SOMETHING CAN BE DONE FOR HER. I WILL BE PRAYING ALONG WITH OUR OTHER PRAYER WARRIORS FOR SAMI AND YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY AND FOR THE SURGEON WHO WILL BE DOING THE SURGERY. THE GREAT PHYSICIAN OF COURSE, WILL BE THERE WITH HER ALL THROUGH THE SURGERY. I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES AND WILL BE ASKING FOR ONE FOR SAMI.

Placida, I'm sorry to hear the news was not what you had hoped. But, I am thankful they have found the cause, which can now be treated. Praying for Sami and for God's healing hands to be on her.

Her dr. is trying to find a surgeon that can do what he calls"reconstructive surgery". it is a dangerous surgery because the bottom of stomach wher it empties is almost pointing upward so it isnt emptying and the top part of her stomach(sphincter) isnt working. that is why she is hurting because it is all positioned wrong and acid is eating up her esophagus. She was born premature and started gettin sick after she came home. she had reflux SO severely that she had to have surgery.
Dr. H. believes it is a botched procedure. we need a really good surgeon for her. I know she is in Gods hands. We have always called her our miracle...she is 18 now & is still our miracle baby.
