Job Interviews

What's on your heart? Is it about you or someone you love? Big or small, wouldn't it be great to have a group of people praying for it? This is the place to lay it out.

Re: Job Interviews (Update)

Wow, things have been happening...I have had the opportunity to interview with three more companies over the past couple of weeks. Was contacted today for an in-person interview as a follow-up to a phone interview from several weeks ago...kinda thought that lead had fizzled out. Was also contacted today for another in-person interview as a follow-up to a phone interview, but I declined. That job would have kept me in the Atlanta area (away from my family in TN.) I have built a good relationship with the recruiter from that company and he agreed to pass my information on to his counterpart in the TN market! Then I got yet another call today from a company I had interviewed with a few weeks ago...another one I thought I fizzled out. Was surprised when I heard myself decline...just knew it wasn't right for me.

So, asking for your prayers as I interview next Wednesday, May 30th at 1 PM. Know the right one is out there and I am determined to find it!

Respond to: Job Interviews

Postby Adrian » Thu May 24, 2012 3:54 pm

Hello Selina:
I will call your name before the Lord and request that he give you the desire of your heart, if it's his will. Here's hoping the phone interview is successful as well. I especially like the part in your post where you say "grant me the wisdom to make the right decisions." Remember me in prayer as well; I am currently unemployed and seeking a full time position as a Medical Assistant. May God bless you.

selina wrote:Hi everyone. Have a prayer request, please. I became unemployed last June, after over 17 years with a company. I have tried to trust God’s timing and planning because let’s face it - He’s so much better at those things than me! I have to say I am so thankful for this season of my life. He has met every need. He has calmed every fear. I have had opportunities to share with friends the reason I can be calm and at peace! My prayer has been simply for God to lead me where He would have me to be. Today, I received an unexpected phone interview from a company back home in Tennessee. I will know by Monday if they want me to come in for an on-site interview! But, it gets better. I opened my email tonight and had another company requesting a phone interview on Tuesday. This position is even closer to my family in Tennessee. Please pray with me that these interviews will go well. I am asking for God to lead me where He would have me and to grant me the wisdom to make the right decisions. Thank you for your prayers and support. It means a lot to know that there are people around the world who care enough to stop and pray! :)

Hi, Adrian! Thank you for your prayers and support! I am reminded of a lady I used to work with who would hug me and say "Pray for me as I pray for you." That was how she said goodbye to me each day then she told me she loved me. Each day..
