One of those performances that leave you sweaty and exhausted. Wow. Though I must say I prefer when he sings about Jesus. There are som many others out there who sing about the other stuff, that I just feel there is no need for someone like him to join in, so to speak. I didn´t buy the "The Voice" Cd for that reason. I don´t want to hear those songs on a CD with a Christian man. I more or less gave up listening to non Christian artists because the message they have is empty and hollow and meaningless. It gives me nothing. When I go to a concert with a Christian performer, I want to hear about Jesus. I want to be given something, I want to be strengthened in my faith and be given a chance to feel gratitude and worship and encouragement. If not, I would listen to the other stuff. Which I did, for many years.
Just needed to get that off my chest. I don´t mean to stomp on any toes or hurt anyone´s feelings. Just the way I feel. (And don´t get me wrong - I don´t think that the non Christian stuff is bad or evil. There are a lot of good songs out there. I just feel that we could leave most of them to others and focus on what is truly real ourselves.)

Hi Rosie -- It's so true there tons of songs out there which are totally useless and do nothing to uplift the spirit but do just the opposite and I also do not have a desire to hear them. However, every song I have heard David sing has a spiritual quality to it. David certainly does focus on the gospel but when he sings a classical or secular song, he chooses those that reveal real emotions of love, pain and even questions about life, such as "I Want to Know What Love Is" from The Voice CD. Also, David is passionate about the beauty in life and nature which makes him want to sing about it. In my opinion, we can trust David in his choice of songs as I believe he wants to please our Lord as well as help his fans along in our daily lives with emotions we are dealing with. I understand your feelings and I have been in the same place before and was close-minded to every song that didn't mention Jesus. I hope I have not hurt your feelings with what I have said. I just think the whole performance blows any critic out of the water.
Of course, to live is to have enemies, so I suppose someone somewhere will come up with something negative to say -- but I can't see how! This is incredible, start to finish.
